Ajanka, Inc, was founded on one premise, that "you do matter!" When my children were in Kindergarten, I worked long hours. My grandmother was their caretaker. Their dad and I had separated. The boys were 3 years old, and 6 months. I hated being away from my babies, I like to think that they missed me also. With the separation and not knowing how it was impacting them, I thought I wanted to do something sweet for them, but also remind them how much they mattered to me. At nights before falling off to sleep we would play a game of who loved who more. Over the years it has been my dream to do the same for other children. I was sure other Moms loved their kids too but not all had the gift of writing. So I thought I would do the writing and they do the giving. Hence Ajanka, Inc. was created, not just for small children, but also for the child in each of us. Because every person should know, "you do matter!"

We welcome all people to our brand, as our objective is to make everyone feel good about themselves as well as feel appreciated. It is important to me as the owner and creator that your shopping experience is an enjoyable one. I want you to keep coming back. On your days when you don't feel so appreciated, when you don't feel one hundred percent, drop a message, I will try my best to uplift you. That is who I am and I want my brand to reflect that.

Creating this brand for me, is a dream come through. As a single mom, it is important that other single moms feel seen, heard and feel cared for. My brand is an homage to all the invisible people, like myself. I can't physically reach out and touch everyone, say give then a hug, because I am a hugger, but I want my brand to convey that clearly. We are just getting started, but the dream is huge and passion is ignited. Let's Go!!!!"
